House GOP Tries to Pull Some More Whack-Ass Shit

I have a feeling I'm going to be writing a lot of headlines like the one above over the next two years.

House Republicans gave a big "fuck you!" to the President and planet Earth today by drafting legislation that would prevent the Environmental Protection Agency from regulating the release of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere-- arguably the EPA's biggest task in the new millenium.

"In a sharp challenge to the Obama administration, House Republicans intend to unveil legislation Wednesday to ban the Environmental Protection Agency from regulating greenhouse gases under the Clean Air Act and expect to advance the bill quickly, officials disclosed Tuesday night.

"The officials said the bill would nullify all of the steps the EPA has taken to date on the issue, including a threshold finding that greenhouse gases constitute a danger to the public health and welfare.

"In addition, it seeks to strip the agency of its authority to use the law in any future attempts to crack down on the emissions from factories, utilities and other stationary sources.

"Many scientists say that carbon dioxide and other heat-trapping pollution contribute to global warming, and attempts at regulating them is a major priority for President Barack Obama as well as environmentalists. Critics argue the evidence is thin and that new rules will drive up the cost of business and cause the loss of jobs."

Ilulissat, the fishing village on the far west of Greenland and first to figure out THAT THE WORLD IS MOTHERFUCKING ENDING.

The evidence is thin?!  Motherfuckers, maybe you missed the fact that the sun rose early this year in the frozen North because the North is no longer frozen:

"But for the first time in history light began creeping over the horizon at around 1pm on Tuesday - 48 hours ahead of the usual date of 13 January.

The mysterious sunrise has confused scientists, although it is believed the most likely explanation is that it is down to the lower height of melting icecaps allowing the sun's light to penetrate through earlier."

What the fuck else do you need?  The very heavens are changing because of your "business concerns" and we're all going to pay if this piece of crap law goes through.
