Carolla... Um, Apologizes?

Entertainment Weekly is running a weak apology belched out by Adam Carolla regarding his disgusting radio-show tirade against gays and transfolk, for which GLAAD has rightfully gone nuclear about:
The organization reports on the incident in a press release, writing: “In his rant, he also told LGBT people to ‘shut up’ because they are ‘ruining his life’ by speaking out about equality. He went on to say that members of the LGBT community should stop using the letters ‘LGBT’ to describe themselves, and should instead use ‘YUCK.’ Regarding transgender people, Carolla at one point asked: ‘When did we start giving a sh–t about these people?’”
Carolla told EW via his rep, “I’m sorry my comments were hurtful. I’m a comedian, not a politician.”
Um.  Thanks, Adam, but what does that have to do with anything?  If the comments had been in the slightest bit funny, I might begin to accept... no.  No.  Never mind.  I wouldn't.  You're a douche.  That's all!

Let's change that statement to what it should have been:
Carolla told EW via his rep, “I’m sorry my comments were hurtful. I’m a douchebag, not a comedian.”
There.  MUCH better.

  1. Oh, well, let us know when you start being "funny". I hate it when people speak what they really feel to be the truth and then backtrack it and hide behind their faith, and now their profession. Would it really hurt this hideous dude's career as a professional letch to just say he's a homophobe?
