Last week he tried to illustrate the evils of illegal immigration by stating American's pay more in taxes because immigrants are collecting services but not paying taxes. Forgetting the fact that this is blatantly untrue (ThinkProgress notes that immigrants pay $80,000 more per capita than they use in services), the audience got riled up and one person yelled "You mean like GE?"
To be fair to Gibson, he read the writing on the wall and agreed that big corporations need to pay taxes.
