What Does Overturning Roe Vs. Wade Have To Do With Creating Jobs, Michele?

Michele Bachmann has very noticeably distinguished her candidacy for President by refusing (on big news outlets anyway) to talk about LGBT issues, justifying her silence on her anti-gay record by insisting that she's running for President and the President should only focus on job creation right now.  In related news, she is a big liar and wouldn't know what the President did if he slapped her in the face with his job description.

Anyway, Crazy Eyes is all about jobs and nothing else, right?  You wouldn't know it from yesterday's GOP candidate's forum in South Carolina.  During the forum, anti-gay activist and Princeton professor Robert George asked Marcus' beard if she would overturn the Supreme Court's decision in Roe Vs. Wade and make abortion completely illegal.  From ThinkProgress:

GEORGE: Would you as president propose to Congress appropriate legislation pursuant to the Fourteenth Amendment to protect human life in all stages and conditions? [...] Given the clear mandate of the Fourteenth Amendment empowering Congress to enforce the guarantee of Equal Protection shouldn’t Congress act on that now?

BACHMANN: Yes, I believe that they should. [...]

GEORGE: And if it meant a confrontation with the Supreme Court are you prepared for that?

BACHMANN: Most assuredly.

What about taking away a woman's reproductive rights creates jobs, Michele?  

NOM Outlines Four Year Plan To Waste Donor Money

Oh, will these b-holes ever learn?  

The National Organization for Marriage Hatred has published some more haterade after their announcement that they would pledge $2 million to combat the dreaded same-sex marriage in New York.  Their squawking is nothing short of a master plan (sinister music) to reverse gay rights in the Empire State.

"We're putting together a 4-year campaign strategy that will reverse same-sex marriage in New York. We'll have many more details, and ways for you to get involved, in the days ahead but the overall plan will have three phases:

"PHASE 1:
Elect pro-marriage majorities next November that will approve a marriage amendment in both the Assembly and Senate during the 2013 legislative session.

"PHASE 2:
Protect pro-marriage candidates in the 2014 elections, so that the amendment can receive final legislative approval in the 2015 legislative session.

"PHASE 3:
Successfully pass the ballot measure when it goes before voters in November 2015."

Laurel at PHB makes some very good points (IE, that it's a big fucking waste of time and money):

"Recall that the Assembly passed the Marriage Equality Act by a vote of 80-63 and the Senate passed it by a vote of 33-29. To accomplish this mean-spirited plan, NOM would have to replace at least 18 pro-equality Assembly members and 3 pro-equality Senators (incumbents all) with anti-equality challengers, get a majority of both chambers to approve a proposed amendment, maintain the anti-equality majorities through another election, then get the majority of both chambers to vote anti-equality for a second time.

"Then the question would go to the voters, who already overwhelmingly support marriage equality."

They should just call it "Our Plan To Keep Getting Paid."

Morgan Re-Apologizes, Schedules PSA, Does A Lot Of Other Stuff Too

Tracy Morgan seems to have taken the controversy surrounding his terrible anti-gay tirade seriously.  Either he is genuinely sorry or Tina threatened his paycheck-- either way, he's got some good stuff lined up.

In a statement to GLAAD, Morgan apologized a second time, saying:

“I know how bad bullying can hurt.  I was bullied when I was a kid.   I’m sorry for what I said.  I didn’t mean it.  I never want to use my comedy to hurt anyone.   My family knew what it was like to feel different.  My brother was disabled and I lost my father to AIDS in 1987.   My dad wasn’t gay but I also learned about homophobia then because of how people treated people who were sick with that.   Parents should support and love their kids no matter what.   Gay people deserve the same right to be happy in this country as everyone else.   Our laws should support that.”

He is reportedly going to be meeting with LGBT youth that have been abused by their family to learn their stories, will be filming a PSA (told ya so), and will be flying back to Tennessee to personally apologize to the audience members he offended during the Nashville performance.

Alright.  I'm satisfied.  Can we move on now?
