Today is the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia, and political leaders worldwide are releasing statements in support of LGBTs globally.
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton:
"In every part of the world, men and women are persecuted and attacked because of who they are or whom they love. Homophobia, transphobia and the brutal hostility associated with them are often rooted in a lack of understanding of what it actually means to be lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender (LGBT). So to combat this terrible scourge and break the cycle of fear and violence, we must work together to improve education and support those who stand up against laws that criminalize love and promote hate. As we mark the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia this May 17, let us resolve to redouble our efforts.
"On behalf of President Obama and the people of the United States, I am proud to reaffirm our support for LGBT communities at home and abroad, and to call for an end to discrimination and mistreatment of LGBT persons wherever it occurs. Whether by supporting LGBT advocates marching in Belgrade, leading the effort at the United Nations to affirm the human rights of LGBT persons, or condemning a vile law under consideration in Uganda, we are committed to our friends and allies in every region of the world who are fighting for equality and justice. These are not Western concepts; these are universal human rights.
"Despite these gains and hard work, there is more to do to turn the tide of inequality and discrimination against the LGBT community. If you are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender, know that the United States stands with you and we are unwavering in our commitment to ending this cycle of hate."
UK Foreign Office Minister Jeremy Browne:
Not every government is supporting their LGBT citizens, sadly. Moscow city government has once again banned a gay pride rally today, in a move echoing previous politician's statements that such events are "satanic."
Rally organizers have sworn to go ahead with the demonstration anyway.

Ultra Conservative Hasidic Newspaper Edits Out Hillary Clinton
The now famous photo of the White House Situation Room's occupants during the bin Laden raid received a special treatment by religious newspaper Der Tzitung-- airbrushing out the women present in the room.
"The religious paper never publishes pictures of women, as they could be considered 'sexually suggestive.' Apparently the presence of a woman, any woman, being all womanly and sexy all over the United States' counterterrorism efforts was too much for the editors of Der Tzitung to handle."
Right, because Dark Lord Hillary is sexy. All they needed to do was slap Princess Beatrice's hat on the group to make it the unsexiest gathering since the RNC.
*shudder*

Dark Lord Hillary Once Again Has the Biggest Balls in Washington
Damn, I wish I could've voted this bitch in.
In the strongest statement yet from Barry O's Administration regarding Egypt, Hillary Clinton had this to say:
"Real stability only comes from the kind of democratic participation that gives people a chance to feel that they are being heard. And by that I mean real democracy, not a democracy for six months or a year and then evolving into essentially a military dictatorship or a so-called democracy that then leads to what we saw in Iran."
Video is below. I love this bitch, I really do. She seems to be the progressive conscience of the administration. Maybe it's because she doesn't have the constraints of the Presidency yoking her to some centrist ideal?

I LOVE WIKILEAKS! Julian Assange is a Totes Douchebag, tho.
We all know what WikiLeaks is. We've all heard about the juicy shit that came outta them-- I've posted on it (as has everybody else). My take?
LOOOOVES IT! The stuff they are releasing-- a lot of it is suuuuuper great because it holds our government accountable. After all-- that shit about Saudi Arabia being a top funder of terrorist activities? Why should we keep that a secret? If it was Vietnam, would we do the same?
That Julian Assange guy, tho-- for reals, douche. Like, not the kind that makes you feel fresh either. The disposable kind you find behind the toilet in the bathroom stall. You know what I'm talking about.
He got arrested on sex charges in Sweden, and I wasn't going to talk about it, cuz I don't really give a fuck. I mean really! I'm very busy reading Percy Jackson and only important things should interrupt that. However, then I ran across this-- supposedly this dude has distributed a "thermonuclear file" with tons and tons of incredibly damaging information to thousands of hackers, and if he is killed or brought to trial, he will release the encryption code for it, and ALL THAT INFO will be set loose.
"Contained inside that file -- named insurance.aes256 -- are believed to be all of the documents that WikiLeaks has received to date, including unpublished papers on the Guantanamo Bay detention camp and papers belonging to BP and the Bank of America. Assange has previously suggested that the documents are unredacted, meaning they contain names that normally would be removed before publication to protect the lives of soldiers, spies and sources."
Still seems really boring, right? Until you get to the fucking end, and this is where I blow my top.
BITCH WHAT?
I've been a soldier, one that worked with sensitive stuff, and I know that if some motherfucker wanted to expose my name to my enemies back then in order to save HIS scrawny ass, I woulda been PISSED. And you know what? I am!
Let me say this unequivocally: Julian Assange staying out of prison is not worth the life of one single man or woman who works in our intelligence services, whether spy or soldier. Should the American people have access to that intelligence? Yeah, maybe. Are these charges (suspiciously brought up when Dark Lord Hillary is pissed at him) trumped up? Hell if I know! Should these people be exposed to harm so that he can have a get-out-of-free card? No.
Well, if we can't convict him, and can't shoot him, I suggest voodoo. Curse him! Make him fall down the stairs and bust his head open!
But now he faces a fate worse than death: You will never again find me talking about this asswad OR his website.

Newsflash: Our Middle Eastern Allies Fund Our Worst Enemies. Whoops!
Follow the money, bitches!
WikiLeaks, that ever-present thorn in the US' side, has released secret cables indicating Dark Lord Hillary knows that Saudi Arabian sources are prominent in funding terrorist organizations:
"One leaked cable sent by U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in December 2009 noted that 'it has been an ongoing challenge to persuade Saudi officials to treat terrorist financing emanating from Saudi Arabia as a strategic priority.' It adds: 'Donors in Saudi Arabia constitute the most significant source of funding to Sunni terrorist groups worldwide' -- running into millions of dollars."
The article goes on to tell us that other major contributors are Kuwait and the UAE.
Um, how many more times do we need to underline the fact that we need to wean ourselves off of foreign oil? Where's the money coming from that is getting funneled to terrorist groups that threaten US security? That's right, people, it's America. The oil we buy to run our SUVs funds, directly and indirectly, people who want to kill us.
Why not just shoot ourselves in the head and just get it over with? Hey Mr. Bin Laden! Fuck me over! I'm conveniently bending over for you to do so! Nossir, I don't need lube, this sandpaper will do!

Dear Columbia Students: If You Close Your Eyes, Wikileaks Doesn't Exist. Thanks! -- US Government
In a classy move straight outta 1984, the State Department warned Columbia students (IE, prospective employees) via the School of International and Public Affairs that if they disseminated, talked about, chatted about, posted about, blogged about, looked at, thought about, or admitted to the existence of Wikileaks, Uncle Sam wouldn't hire them.
"An email from SIPA's Office of Career Services went out Tuesday afternoon with a caution from the official, an alumnus of the school. Students who will be applying for jobs in the federal government could jeopardize their prospects by posting links to WikiLeaks online, or even by discussing the leaked documents on social networking sites, the official was quoted as saying."
Jeezy creezy, Minitrue, why the hell is this shit classified anymore? Last I knew, you could still look it up online-- I mean, my MOM probably knows all about Dark Lord Hillary's latest panic attacks thanks to Wikileaks, and she's really really old! Give it up, guys-- in the information age, it's going to be increasingly difficult to keep what you had for lunch secret from the general public. It's out! You can't wish the leak away! How about instead working on actually keep what's STILL secret a secret? Hmmm?
